Blood-pressure readings stay on this device. There is no account and no server for your log. Optional Apple Health access and optional anonymous usage counts are described below. We do not sell data and we do not use it for advertising.
Readings you type (systolic, diastolic, pulse, time, arm, position, notes), profiles, reminder times, and CSV/JSON backups you export are written to on-device storage on your iPhone or iPad. We never receive them and cannot see them.
If you turn on Apple Health in Settings, CuffBook can read and write blood-pressure samples (and nearby heart-rate samples) so this log matches the Health app — for example, a 128/82 mmHg reading you already saved from your cuff. Health access is optional. The app works fully if you decline. Readings are not uploaded. You can revoke access in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
“Share anonymous usage counts” is on by default. From version 1.0.4, CuffBook says so on its first screen (and once, on the first launch, if you used an earlier version), and you can turn it off at any time in Settings. While it is on, CuffBook posts daily totals of product events to our own server — app open, first reading saved, paywall view (and where it was shown), plan select, paywall closed, restore, and (from version 1.0.4) what a purchase attempt ended in (completed, cancelled, pending, failed, or no product available) — each total tagged with its day and a coarse days-since-install bucket. The post also carries the app’s name and version, your device language and your App Store country (the store your Apple Account uses, not your location); our server keeps those only as separate daily tallies, not attached to the counts. There is no install ID, no advertising identifier, and no readings, names, or Health samples in that post. DEBUG builds do not post. Turning it off deletes counts not yet sent, and off stays off.
CuffBook Pro is sold through Apple In-App Purchase, as an auto-renewing subscription or (from version 1.0.2) a one-time Pro Lifetime purchase. Apple processes the payment and tells the app whether Pro is active. We never see your payment details.
If you share a doctor-report PDF or export CSV/JSON, iOS hands the file to whichever app you choose. We are not involved in the transfer and receive no copy.
CuffBook is not directed at children under 13. It is a logbook for adults tracking readings from their own cuff, or logging for a parent they care for.
