This policy applies to Wren, a PCOS tracking app for iOS.
Short version: everything you log — your cycles, symptoms, lab results, supplements and notes — is stored only on your device and is never uploaded to us. There are no accounts, no servers holding your health information, and no analytics or advertising SDKs. We cannot see your health data — not because we promise not to look, but because it never reaches us.
Wren keeps the following in your device's local app storage:
This is written to your device only. It is not transmitted to us and we have no way to retrieve it. Deleting the app deletes it.
Wren offers an optional paid subscription. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple using Apple's own in-app purchase system. We use no third-party payments or analytics provider — there is no service in between that could receive anything about you. Your subscription status is verified on your device by Apple's StoreKit; we never receive your name, email address, card details, or any health information. Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
Wren can produce an appointment summary or a full data export. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you tap share and choose a destination yourself. At that point the content goes wherever you send it — your email app, notes app, a messaging app — and is handled under that service's policy, not ours.
If you turn on the daily reminder, Wren schedules a local notification on your device. There are no push notifications, no push tokens and no server involved. The reminder text is deliberately generic and never mentions symptoms, medications or any health detail, because lock screens are not always private. Turn it off in Wren's settings or in iOS Settings.
Information about menstrual cycles, symptoms and lab results is sensitive personal information (sometimes called special-category data). We treat it that way, and our approach is to avoid collecting it at all: it stays on your device, so we do not process, store, transmit or disclose it. We cannot disclose it to third parties, including for advertising or marketing, because we do not have it.
Because we hold no personal information about you, a request to access, correct or delete data we hold will generally be answered by explaining that we hold none — your data is on your device, in your hands. If you have rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA or similar laws, you may still contact us and we will respond.
Wren is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we collect no personal information on our servers at all, there is nothing for us to delete; deleting the app removes its data from the device.
Wren is a tracking and education tool. It does not diagnose any condition, interpret lab results, or recommend supplements, medications or doses, and it is not a contraceptive and must not be used to prevent or achieve pregnancy. Always speak to a qualified clinician about symptoms, results and treatment.
If we change how Wren handles information we will update this page and the date above. If a change is significant — for example a future version adding an optional account or cloud sync — we will say so clearly in the app before it takes effect, and any such feature would be opt-in.
