SowWeek’s frost dates are historical averages, not a forecast. A frost can come earlier or later in any year, and no planting date can promise a harvest. Check the weather the week you plant.
These terms apply to your use of the SowWeek app. SowWeek is licensed to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA), together with these additional terms. If the two conflict, these terms apply to the extent the Standard EULA allows. By downloading or using SowWeek you accept them.
SowWeek turns the seeds you add into a season plan. It dates each crop from frost dates: either NOAA NCEI U.S. Climate Normals 1991–2020 for the weather station nearest the ZIP code you enter, or the dates you type yourself. It uses typical crop timings, or the numbers you enter from your seed packet, and lists the jobs that fall in each week. Growth stages, sprouting times and pick counts in the app are illustrations based on those dates and on what you tick; they are not measurements of your plants.
SowWeek Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered through Apple In-App Purchase:
Prices are in US dollars; the price in your country is shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The free trial converts to a paid annual subscription automatically and you are charged when it ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. A subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription, where applicable. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
Lifetime is a one-time purchase of $59.99 (non-consumable) that unlocks the same Pro features without a subscription. It does not renew and is not charged again. If you already have a subscription, buying Lifetime does not cancel it; cancel the subscription in your Apple Account settings. Use Restore Purchases in the app to restore Pro on your other devices signed in with the same Apple Account.
One seed has every feature: frost dates, its row, its weekly jobs, growth, picks and stickers. Pro adds the rest of your seed order, sowing again, the printed garden (PDF), another garden, and copying a garden into next year. We may change which features are part of Pro in future versions; a change will not take away a period you have already paid for.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use SowWeek on Apple devices you own or control, under the Standard EULA. You may not reverse engineer, resell or misuse the app. The frost data (NOAA NCEI) and ZIP code locations (U.S. Census Bureau) are U.S. government works.
What you enter stays on your device. Exports, imports and shares you start are your responsibility. See our Privacy Policy.
SowWeek is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including that its dates are accurate for your garden or that any crop will grow, survive a frost, or produce a harvest. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any crop loss, damage or other loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the app or its dates. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations; in those jurisdictions they apply only to the extent permitted, and nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the date above; continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms.
